The 10th Annual Innovations in HealthcareSM Awards Event, on April 23, 2008, in Costa Mesa, California, not only presents nine healthcare companies vying for the ABBY Awards, and a keynote presentation by Steve Case, CEO of Revolution Health (and co-founder of AOL), who will receive the "Leadership in Innovation" Award, but will also feature a "strolling" networking lunch for all attendees where leading-edge companies will exhibit their innovative approaches to the delivery of healthcare, medical and healthcare information technology, as well as a celebration networking reception to cap the afternoon.
His first run-away success, AOL, introduced millions of us to the Internet - literally changing the way we live, work and shop. Today, Revolution Health is doing the same thing for healthcare: putting consumers at the center of their medical universe, giving them the power to make better informed choices and live healthier lives.

Orange, CA (PRWEB) March 21, 2008 -- The 10th Annual Innovations in HealthcareSM Awards Event, on April 23, 2008, in Costa Mesa, California, not only presents nine healthcare companies vying for the ABBY Awards, and a keynote presentation by Steve Case, CEO of Revolution Health (and co-founder of AOL), who will receive the "Leadership in Innovation" Award, but will also feature a "strolling" networking lunch for all attendees where leading-edge companies will exhibit their innovative approaches to the delivery of healthcare, medical and healthcare information technology, as well as a celebration networking reception to cap the afternoon.

Innovations in Healthcare Event host, the Adaptive Business Leaders (ABL) Organization, is already expecting record attendance based on the number of registrants more than a month before the event. "I think the combination of Revolution Health's CEO Steve Case being our Keynoter, and the excellent reputation the ABBYs have built over the past nine years is contributing to the record number of registrants this far out from the actual event," noted Mimi Grant, president of ABL Organization. "There's actually a remarkable juxtaposition regarding Steve," she continues, "His first run-away success, AOL, introduced millions of us to the Internet - literally changing the way we live, work and shop. Today, Revolution Health is doing the same thing for healthcare: putting consumers at the center of their medical universe, giving them the power to make better informed choices and live healthier lives."

At the Event, in addition to the presentation of the "Leadership in Innovation" Award to Steve Case, ABBY Awards will be given to companies whose products and services Event attendees judge to be the most innovative -- with metrics that prove their clinical and financial cost-effectiveness. Past ABBY Award winners have included companies that have made breakthroughs and transformative advances in medical devices, therapeutics, information and telemedicine technology, as well as organizations that have applied innovative approaches and technology to provide care, enroll beneficiaries, and reduce healthcare costs. A full list of this year's nine ABBY Award Finalists is available at http://www.abl.org/IIH2008.htm.

Another highlight of the Event will be the networking lunchtime exhibition by more than 20 companies, who will showcase their innovations in healthcare. Scheduled exhibitors include Accuray, Inc., Alameda County Medical Center, AT&T, Bidshift, Cerecons, Chesney Communications, Healthline Networks, HFS Consultants, IBM, I-Flow, iMDsoft, Inc., Micro Imaging Technology, M*Modal, Inc., Ossur Americas, Revolution Health, Sutter Health Partners, Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth, WellPoint's Lumenos, and XDx, Inc.

The 10th Annual Innovations in Healthcare Awards Event is open to ABL Members, as well as senior executives of healthcare providers, payers, medical device, bio/pharma, and healthcare information and services firms. For more information about the Event or the ABL Organization, please contact Winnie Tse or Jenn Westergaard at ABL at (714) 245-2400 or visit its website at www.abl.org.
