Full Sail Presents Film and Television Actor Malcolm McDowell as Guest Speaker at the 2008 Florida Film Festival

Full Sail University (www.fullsail.edu) is proud to present film and television leading actor, Malcolm McDowell, as guest speaker for the 17th Annual Florida Film Festival. The Festival brings the best in cutting-edge current cinema to Central Florida from March 28 through April 6, with screenings being held at both the Enzian Theater and Regal Cinemas Winter Park Village 20.

Winter Park, FL (PRWEB) March 27, 2008 -- Full Sail University (www.fullsail.edu) is proud to present film and television leading actor, Malcolm McDowell, as guest speaker for the 17th Annual Florida Film Festival. The Festival brings the best in cutting-edge current cinema to Central Florida from March 28 through April 6, with screenings being held at both the Enzian Theater and Regal Cinemas Winter Park Village 20.

McDowell will be participating in a unique conversation-style moderated discussion at the Full Sail Film Showcase on Wednesday, April 2, 2:30pm - 4:00pm at Regal Cinemas. Hosted by Full Sail's Program Director for Film, Dave Franko, McDowell will be sharing industry insights as well as answering questions directly from the audience.

McDowell made his film debut in If, where he captured the attention of many including Stanley Kubrick, as he embodied the role of Mick Travis. From this role, McDowell went on to work with Kubrick in one of his most recognized roles as Alex in A Clockwork Orange.

Through personifying over 150 characters in numerous film and television roles, McDowell's career has spanned over five decades and includes notable roles in O Lucky Man!, Heroes, Star Trek Generations, and the 2007 horror remake of Halloween.

This year's Festival includes four Academy Award nominees and more than twenty World premieres. Also available during the Festival are a wide variety of food and wine experiences, a mix of industry parties and special events, and discussion forums.
