Program targets career changers who want to teach in Arizona charter schools

Phoenix, AZ (Vocus/PRWeb) April 7, 2008 -- Career changers now have a new option for becoming a charter school teacher. The Arizona Charter Schools Association and the American Board for Certification of Teacher Excellence (ABCTE) have teamed up to host two teacher recruitment fairs for professionals who want to change careers and teach in a charter school in Tucson and Phoenix.

"Charter schools need highly qualified teachers to educate our students. Were having this fair to help them recruit teachers for their schools. ABCTE prepares career changers for the classroom and equips them with the tools they need to become effective teachers," said ABCTE President Dave Saba.
