Finger Lakes Wine Country, New York announces the release of its new 2008 travel guide just in time for the upcoming travel season. The guide is filled with captivating pictures, an overview of the region, travel tips, and a comprehensive pull-out map.

Finger Lakes Wine Country, NY (PRWEB) April 15, 2008 -- Finger Lakes Wine Country Tourism Marketing Association released its new 2008 travel guide today, just in time for the busy upcoming travel season. The guide, redesigned by Sandi Fortune of Smith Marketing in Ithaca, NY, features large captivating pictures, an overview of the region, travel tips, and a comprehensive pull-out map featuring attractions, wineries, state parks, and places to stay.

Morgen McLaughlin, president of Finger Lakes Wine Country, is thrilled with the quality of the guide. "We really worked hard to create a travel guide that inspires visitation to Finger Lakes Wine Country. We updated the pull-out map for easier visitor navigation, used stronger imagery, and focused on the seasonality of the region. Finger Lakes Wine Country is developing into a top-tier travel destination and with that comes the need to market to potential visitors the year-round diversity of things to do. From visiting wineries to experiencing art and culture to discovering the local food scene, there is something fun and unique to do in Finger Lakes Wine Country every day of the year."

Finger Lakes Wine Country, located within a five hour drive of all major eastern US and Canadian cities, focuses on the natural beauty, world-class wines, and unique history of this region in upstate New York. With over 100 award-winning wineries, internationally known attractions like The Corning Museum of Glass, Watkins Glen International, and the Watkins Glen State Park, Finger Lakes Wine Country is attracting visitors from all over the world. Some of the recent media coverage on the region includes articles in Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, Food & Wine, Wine & Spirits, Real Simple Travel, Budget Travel, Woman's Day, San Francisco Chronicle, Ottawa Citizen, Toronto Star, and USA Today.
