Wall Street Stars to Share Top Strategies and Stock Picks -- Conference Proceeds to Fund Pediatric Cancer Research
New York, NY (PRWEB) April 21, 2008 - As global financial markets continue to face extreme volatility, the Ira Sohn Research Conference Foundation today announced that it will host the 13th Annual Ira W. Sohn Investment Research Conference on May 21, 2008, from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM at New York City's Frederick P. Rose Hall, the home of Jazz at Lincoln Center.
The Ira W. Sohn Investment Research Conference pioneered the concept of bringing together leading fund managers to share their best investment ideas and strategies. For more than a decade, during both strong and uncertain markets, the conference has served as a premier event. The upcoming Ira W. Sohn Investment Research Conference will feature several returning star speakers from previous conferences, such as David Einhorn, Bill Ackman and Larry Robbins, as well as new voices that will bring fresh perspectives to the forum.

About the Ira W. Sohn Investment Research Conference
The Ira W. Sohn Investment Research Conference was founded in 1995 after the untimely passing of Ira Sohn. Sohn was a successful trader on Wall Street who battled cancer and passed away at the young age of 29. His courageous battle with cancer inspired his colleagues and friends to launch the annual Ira W. Sohn Investment Research Conference. All proceeds from the conference are donated to organizations dedicated to the care and treatment of children with pediatric cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. The organizations served include the Tomorrows Children's Fund at Hackensack University Medical Center, New York Presbyterian Hospital / Weill Cornell Medical Center, and ArtWorks, an art therapy program that allows children fighting diseases to express themselves through art. The Foundation also recently announced the winner of the $250,000 Ira Sohn Foundation Prize, awarded for the best idea in pediatric oncology research.
