Houston-Based Freestone Partners Increases Investment In Austin's Sweet Leaf Tea

Houston, TX (PRWEB) April 26, 2008 -- Freestone Partners, LLC has continued its long-standing support of Austin-based beverage company Sweet Leaf Tea with an additional round of funding alongside Catterton Partners of Greenwich, Connecticut.

Sweet Leaf Tea has nearly doubled sales each year for the past five years. In addition, the tea maker has doubled its headcount in the last eight months, recently adding new sales, marketing and operations executives nationwide. Sweet Leaf is sold in every state through about 6,000 stores, with the company's strongest markets being Texas, Colorado and California.
