Prior to joining VanNoppen Marketing she was a National Accounts Sales Coordinator for Motorsports Authentics in Charlotte where she worked directly with major national retailers merchandising racecar driver and NASCAR promotional items.
Morganton, NC (PRWEB) April 27, 2008 -- Carrie Smith recently joined VanNoppen Marketing (VNM), a leading western North Carolina marketing and advertising agency, as Administrative Assistant and Bookkeeper.
Reporting to VNM Managing Director Pam Walker, Carrie will work closely with VNM's design team and its clients in all areas of customer service and project support.
Prior to joining VanNoppen Marketing she was a National Accounts Sales Coordinator for Motorsports Authentics in Charlotte where she worked directly with major national retailers merchandising racecar driver and NASCAR promotional items. While in college she served internships in the Sales and Development Departments at Speedway Motorsports and at Performance Racing Network.
Smith is a recent graduate of UNC-Charlotte where she earned a BS in History with a minor in Journalism and was a member of The National Scholars Honor Society. She was a volunteer at the Charlotte Museum of History. Additionally, Smith studied at Kingston University in London as part of her undergraduate degree and is currently working toward her Master of Arts degree in History.
She replaces Jenna Hoover, who is returning to full time graduate school at Appalachian State University.

VanNoppen launched the marketing firm in 2001 after spending more than 15 years in the furniture industry, as a sales and marketing executive and as a board member with industry associations. He managed for those and other organizations considerable public relations work, national sales promotions, media campaigns and product-launch press kits. He is the author of Jawbonin' & Lollygaggin', a collection of columns written for The News Herald.
In October of 2006, Pam Walker, Kara Jones and Eliot Lytle joined VNM creating a team of graphics and communications professionals unique to the region. A year later, Joe Carey came on board as Director of Web Development.
