ConnectMyCable.com Talks about the End of the Analog TV Era

The FCC has stated that as of February 17, 2009 all over-the-air-broadcasting must convert to an all-digital format.
The new digital or DTV format will give consumers:

The analog channels will be used for public safety such as police, fire and emergency rescue and advanced wireless services. Converter boxes are available to change the analog signal into digital.
The National Telecommunications and Information Administration began issuing $40 gift cards in January 2008 to help consumers with the purchase of the converter. Those coupons are on a first come first serve basis.
