The Green Mountain Inn, a historic destination for Stowe, Vermont lodging, is installing an elevator to enhance the property and guest experience.

Stowe, VT (PRWEB) April 4, 2008 -- As part of their ongoing capital improvement work, the Green Mountain Inn will shortly begin the installation of an elevator. This elevator will service the main dining room, function room, living rooms and 41 guest rooms located in the Main Inn building and Depot building. In addition to improving the handicapped accessibility of the dining and function rooms, the new elevator will greatly improve the guest experience for visitors staying in the Main Inn and Depot buildings.

As the original Stowe, Vermont lodging inn they are always looking for ways to improve the experience for everyone who stays there. "We're continually working to give our guests the best experience possible and we feel that installing an elevator will not only enhance the property but also make the inn more accessible to our guests," said Ken Biedermann, the inn's general manager.

Out of respect for the historic structure of the Main Inn, which was built in 1833, and the village of Stowe's wonderful Main Street, the elevator will be installed on the back of the building. Construction will take place during the weekdays and will only affect a small number of rooms in the Main building. Units in the Mansfield House, the Mill House, the Sanborn House and the Club House will not be affected during construction.

The project will begin in early April, and is expected to be completed by the end of June 2008. For more information about the inn, visit www.greenmountaininn.com
