Message Automation and Protocol simulation (MAPS) supports SIP and Megaco protocol conformance testing. The SIP part of the application helps in testing of SIP Gateways, proxy servers, Redirect servers, Registrars and user agents such as SIP phones. The Megaco part of the application is capable of testing Media Gateways (MG) and Media Gateway Controllers (MGC)
Mr. Ramalingam, further added, "MAPS can be used to simulate any interface of the VoIP network. Single MAPS can act as more than one SIP entity at a time and can generate any SIP message on wire in VoIP network and hence most of testing can be automated and also equipments needed to test are reduced".

Brief description of the application is provided below:

Message Automation & Protocol Simulation (MAPS SIP) is designed to test SIP proxy servers, Redirect servers, Registrars and user agents such as SIP phones. Test cases include general messaging and call flow scenarios for multimedia call session setup and control over IP networks. Logging and pass/fail results are also reported.

The MAPS - SIP Conformance Suite is designed with 300+ test cases, as per SIP specification of ETSI TS 102 027-2 document. Test cases include general messaging and call flow scenarios for multimedia call session setup and control over IP networks. Logging and pass/fail results are also reported.

The application gives the users the unlimited ability to edit SIP messages and control scenarios (message sequences). "Message sequences" are generated through scripts. "Messages" are created using message templates. The application is available as:

  • MAPS for SIP (Item # PKS120 )
  • MAPS - SIP Conformance Suite (Item #PKS121)

For comprehensive information on the application, please visit Message Automation & Protocol Simulation (MAPS SIP ) webpage.

The Message Automation & Protocol Simulation (MAPS) - Megaco Tester

The Message Automation & Protocol Simulation (MAPS) - Megaco is designed for MEGACO testing that provides MEGACO test library capable of testing Media Gateways (MG) and Media Gateway Controllers (MGC). The test library includes test functions to generate MEGACO messages, edit messages, simulates a variety of call flows, and control scenarios. "Message sequences" are generated through scripts. "Messages" are created using message templates.

The MAPS - MEGACO Conformance Suite tool is designed with 300+ test cases, as per specification of ETSI TS 102 374-2 document. The test suite includes in-built scripts to process MEGACO valid and in-valid behaviors.

The application is available as:

  • MAPS for MEGACO (Item # PKS122)
  • MAPS - MEGACO Conformance Suite (Item # PKS123)

For comprehensive information on the application, please visit MAPS-Megaco webpage.
