JDB Fine Hotels & Resorts has launched JDB's Rate Fix, a new discounted fixed USD rate program for the American traveler. Participating European hotels have agreed to exclusively offer JDB clients USD rates with a fixed rate of exchange of €1 = $1.30, a rate parallel to 2006 levels.

Participating European hotels have agreed to exclusively offer JDB clients USD rates with a fixed rate of exchange of €1 = $1.30, a rate parallel to 2006 levels. This program will offset the increased cost of traveling to Europe due to the devalued US Dollar. JDB's Rate Fix program offers the most competitive USD rates in the market at participating upscale boutique hotels, making travel affordable for more Americans to JDB destinations in Europe.
Over 45 hotels currently offer USD rates through JDB, many of with starting nightly rates under $250, and management expect at least another 20 participants to join the program in the coming weeks. "With the declining value of the USD, many European hotels are converting Euro room rates to USD at the current rate of exchange; JDB's Rate Fix goes one step further, rolling back the value of the Euro versus the USD and guaranteeing the resulting USD rate through the end of the year. The end result is that JDB is offering extremely competitive, guaranteed USD room rates," explains Annette Woodward, JDB's Director of Product Development.
Current JDB's Rate Fix participants include some of JDB's most coveted Member Properties in Italy such as the 12-suite Florentine palazzo, Palazzo Magnani Feroni; Venice's striking new 5-star hotel, Ca'Sagredo; Villa Spalletti Trivelli, a former noble residence converted to an exquisite hotel with spa in the heart of Rome; Il Falconiere, located just outside of the popular Tuscan town of Cortona, which boasts a Michelin starred restaurant; and Albergo Terminus on Lake Como.
