"Basically what you've got is a product that diffuses the light, and yet lets light in," explains Mickey Taliaferro, owner of JMT Sky Views. "If you look at a fluorescent light, you realize you can't look at it for long -- it hurts the eyes -- and yet many people in America have to work under fluorescent lights. It makes people feel tired and get headaches. We found a way to diffuse the light so that it limits the light you're seeing and helps your eyes feel more rested at the end of the day. Many doctors, dentists, and other professionals are excited, because it allows their patients to sit underneath the lights in a more relaxed atmosphere."

The diffusers themselves come in a variety of designs, from soothing scenes of blue skies and clouds or tropical waters to humorous images of staring pets or Dilbert characters, allowing them to be used in a number of settings.
