A surprised Chris McKenry, Get It Together LA! received the "President's Shining Star Award" at the annual conference of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) in Reno this month.

McKenry was recognized for the innovative direction the Los Angeles Chapter of NAPO took during his tenure as President 2005-2007 and for creating the Los Angeles Organizing Awards. "For taking a cutting-edge risk that turned out to be a hallmark in our industry: creating the Los Angeles Organizing Awards," stated NAPO President Standolyn Robertson when presenting the award. "They managed to combine plastic bins, productivity products, organizing books and tips with the glitter of evening wear, the flash of camera and glamour of Hollywood."
