www.MyPetPleasures.com opens their new online pet store and weblog, offering unique products for household pets such as their "dry face" pet water post.

Covina, CA (PRWEB) May 4, 2008 -- Pet Pleasures has opened their new online pet supply store at www.MyPetPleasures.com, providing a unique selection of helpful pet items. Owners Barbara and Tommy Brusca opened the store when their own pet necessity led to a handy invention, which in turn led to the formation of the site.

"I got started in the business when I got my first Shih Tzu," explains Barbara, detailing the origin of the store. "After the first Shih Tzu, we decided we wanted to have more, so we decided we were going to have babies. Now we have six, which led me to developing a product, and now we have a web site."

It grows constantly, so when they eat or drink, they're always making a mess. We developed the Pet Water Post to help them keep clean and make it easy to maintain them. My husband and I designed it, making the prototypes and the art design, and put it together ourselves. Any pet owner that has a dog with a furry face knows that they just make a mess, and this helps with the upkeep from that.
The product in question is the Pet Pleasures Pet Water Post, designed to prevent messes that occur at dog water bowls. "If you know anything about the Shih Tzu breed, you know that they have hair instead of fur, like humans," says Barbara. "It grows constantly, so when they eat or drink, they're always making a mess. Pet Pleasures has also begun a blog at www.UniquePetProductsBlog.com, where they can discuss this unique product and the numerous other great pet products on their site with interested customers, explaining options and design ideas.

"You can really customize the water posts with your pet's face on them, so that's our little twist to the product being useful first, then being fun also," says Barbara. "Hopefully in the future I can show some videos of my pack using the water post, and showing the benefits of the post. People might be a little more understanding of how useful it is. I'd also like to share some stories about what a pet means to a household, especially to older people -- my mother lives with us, and there are so many benefits she gets from having a pet around."
