Cutting Down On Accidents, Beefing Up On Features--ABC Office Paper Cutters

ABC Office announces new safety features for paper cutters. To minimize the possibility of a cutting accident in the home or office, paper cutters and trimmers at ABC Office are being loaded with the best available precautionary features.

Kaysville, UT (PRWEB) May 5, 2008 -- As the demand for all types of paper cutters rises, so does the likelihood of an incident involving the machine being used. ABC Office, the first online distributor of office equipment, is including operator safety features on their entire inventory of cutting machines from handheld trimmers to electric cutters that can evenly cut full reams of paper.

Rotary cutters, distinguished by their gliding blades, enclose the blade itself to prevent any exposure to the user's fingers. The medal gliding system is safe but maintains perfectly accurate cuts.

Certain arm cutters, which are extremely popular in schools, come with transparent guards that protect the users without hindering their vision. Like all of the cutting styles, the rotary blade is secured by a locking mechanism. In this case, the arm does not drop unless it is unlocked by the user.

Guillotine cutters, both manual and automatic, are equipped with hand guards that must be in place in order for the blade to be lowered. Some of the machines can be programmed to do all of the work, and all the operator has to do is place the stack of paper on the tray that feeds the machine.

Paper cutters are more efficient and more precise than scissors, but don't have to be more dangerous. Whether trimming photos for scrapbooks, evening out art supplies for a class, or preparing tens of thousands of flyers for distribution, safety should be the highest priority for machine owners. Besides the physical pain and harm caused by lacerations, medical bills and lawsuits are financially damaging. ABC Office is dedicated to keeping the number of cutting accidents down, while keeping the number on paper cutter price tags down as well.
