Phoseon demonstrates its RX Starfire MAX UV-LED curing system as part of an industrial UV Inkjet Printer and showcases the new higher power Air Cooled RX Starfire UV-LED Curing systems

Hillsboro, Oregon (PRWEB) May 5, 2008 -- UV-LED based curing systems have come of age and Phoseon Technology will demonstrate how the technology can successfully be applied to industrial UV Inkjet printing at the Radtech UVEB 2008 Technology Expo & Conference at the Lakeside Center of McCormick Place, Chicago from May 5th-7th. The ACCUFAST card printer is a compact, cost effective system for printing variable data on cards and features a print engine using HP TIJ technology from inc.jet, and UV curable ink suitable for Thermal Ink Jet heads from Tritron. Phoseon's RX Starfire MAX UV Curing system completes the system. In addition Phoseon will also showcase an update to its popular Air Cooled RX Starfire Series with peak irradiance of 2W/cm2 and curing lengths of 100mm and 150mm

Like all RX Series products, the RX Starfire and RX Starfire MAX utilize Phoseon's Semiconductor Light Matrix (SLM) technology which combines a dense array of light emitting semiconductor devices (UV-LED), with high tech micro optics and micro cooling in a cost-effective MOEMS (micro opto electro-mechanical system) package. SLM Technology offers low cost of ownership, low energy consumption, increased productivity and long lifetime. Phoseon's RX Series of SLM based UV Light Systems provide significant advantages over traditional lamp systems for various applications, including inkjet printing, coatings, adhesive curing, and many more.

While our goal is to relentlessly pursue performance improvements we aim to continue to leverage the technology advantages to provide ease of use and integration and offer significant advantages environmentally with regards to low power usage, zero ozone production and mercury free UV light generation.
"Phoseon continues to respond to customer requests for more power to enable faster UV cure times and to enable curing performance equivalent to the highest performance traditional mercury lamps," said Bill Cortelyou, Phoseon CEO. "While our goal is to relentlessly pursue performance improvements we aim to continue to leverage the technology advantages to provide ease of use and integration and offer significant advantages environmentally with regards to low power usage, zero ozone production and mercury free UV light generation."
