Your only child is lost between this world and the next, and more than anything you want him back. A controversial doctor and a mysterious stranger claim they have the answer. Who do you trust? Are you willing to risk everything? Are you prepared to Enter Limbo?

Atlanta (PRWEB) May 7, 2008 -- Code18 Interactive Design of Atlanta is pleased to announce the launch of EnterLimbo.com, a promotional website for the new Jack O'Connell novel "The Resurrectionist," recently released by Algonquin Books of Chapel Hill.

This is the fourth novel by the acclaimed author whose work has been praised by James Ellroy, Nail Gaiman, Katherine Dunn and Jonathan Carroll, among others. As the New York Times Book Review says, "To call Jack O'Connell's novels imaginative, or even original, doesn't begin to say it. . . . There's something both exciting and unnerving about [his kind of hallucinatory writing."

O'Connell is not a genre mystery writer. But his work is definitely mysterious, suspenseful, thrilling, and otherworldly. It's clear to see why he's been compared to writers as varied as Kafka, Poe, Pynchon, William Gibson, and Joseph Wambaugh. It hasn't been since reading Katherine Dunn's masterful
Code18 Interactive owner Steve Pilon comments on the site's concept: "To me, the book reads like a movie. A seriously spooky, mysterious and weird movie. We wanted the website to reflect that, so we created a very engaging, cinematic Flash piece to open the site that draws visitors into the story with dark, eerie imagery and atmospheric sound design. The result, I think it is safe to say, is pretty unexpected compared to your typical book site."

Algonquin's Publicity Director Michael Taeckens describes the novel this way: "O'Connell is not a genre mystery writer. But his work is definitely mysterious, suspenseful, thrilling, and otherworldly. It's clear to see why he's been compared to writers as varied as Kafka, Poe, Pynchon, William Gibson, and Joseph Wambaugh. It hasn't been since reading Katherine Dunn's masterful "Geek Love" that I've been so moved, awed, and yes, creeped out (but in a good way!) by a writer's imaginative world."

Part classic noir thriller, part mind-bending fantasy, The Resurrectionist is a wild ride into a territory where nothing is as it appears. Jack O'Connell has crafted a breakout thriller that's mesmerizing, suspenseful, and all-out heart-pounding. So, are you prepared to Enter Limbo?
