Relocation Tax Expert David S. Oltman, CRP has authored a white paper to educate relocation tax and accounting professionals on the implications of the 2008 Economic Stimulus Act on corporate relocation.

Wilton, CT (PRWEB) May 7, 2008 -- Starting in May, the US Treasury began sending economic stimulus payments to more than 130 million households. To receive a payment, taxpayers must have a valid Social Security number, $3,000 of income and file a 2007 federal tax return. IRS will take care of the rest. Eligible people will receive up to $600 ($1,200 for married couples), and parents will receive an additional $300 for each eligible child younger than 17.

To assist corporate relocation administrators and relocating employees in managing tax issues associated with this event, David S. Oltman, President and Co-Founder of Orion Mobility and a national expert of the topic of relocation taxes and expense management, has authored a comprehensive research paper on this topic. A PDF is available for free download at the company's website: www.orionmobility.com

In addition, the company is exhibiting this week at the Worldwide Employee Relocation Council's National Relocation Conference in San Antonio, Texas and can be found at Booth #308. Mary B. Reilly, Vice President of Business and Client Development will represent the company at the conference along with John L. Heithaus, SCRP, the company's Chief Customer Officer.

According to Oltman "We're pleased to provide information to the corporate relocation industry with resources to assist in navigating this potentially complex tax issue. At the present time the IRS has not detailed the exact mechanics of how the 2007 tax year stimulus package will be accounted for on the 2008 tax year returns. Until that time, it is recommended companies do NOT speculate and cut any extra checks to their employees until "all the dust has settled".
