Winter night temperatures often drop to minus forty degrees and such a brutally cold climate is a real threat to the health and survival of children living in Mongolia. HealthMegaMall responded by making a cash donation to help improve their living conditions.

Mongolian orphans live in difficult conditions and in many cases, do not have adequate food, warmth, clothing or medical supplies. "Every child deserves to live a healthy and active life. These conditions are not acceptable and it is obvious that young children will suffer. We hope our humble efforts will make a difference." said Miss Babuik. HealthMegaMall.com is a leading supplier of health products, nutritional supplements and home care equipment. The company has partnered with the Network of Non Government Organizations of Mongolia to use the cash donation where the needs are greatest.
UNICEF's 2007 Situation Analysis of Children and Women in Mongolia reported that the number of orphaned children has increased by 30% since 2001, partly due to economic hardship. Some 45.4 % of infants aged 0-1 year old, suffer from respiratory diseases and lack medical care often resulting in death. Today, some 20 orphanages stand in Ulaanbaatar, the capital region of Mongolia and most of them are in tented districts with limited access to basic food and medical supplies.
HealthMegaMall donated approximately one tenth of its annual payroll to aid Mongolian orphans. This contribution will help some orphanages repair their facilities and purchase much needed furniture, medicine and medical equipment.
