The donated quilts will be auctioned off online in intervals; each batch of quilts will last 10 days long with the close of the whole auction on November 3rd, 2008 at 8:00pm ET. Each of the quilts are the product of the supportive efforts and vision of quilters nationwide who support fundraising and awareness-promotion initiatives to aid in the journey to end breast cancer, one stitch at a time.
This year, buyers and sellers will be encouraged to access the Quilt Pink Community Page to comment and share their own personal reasons for participation. The community page, provided by GivingRoom will connect buyers, sellers and supporters in an interactive forum allowing buyers and quilt makers to upload video, pictures and upload live voice clips of their stories.
