We thought Mother's Day was a perfect time to give back to all women who are expecting babies or have just become mothers. Our gift to them is the gift of health
Recent research indicates that over 90% of pregnant women in North America do not consume the recommended amount of DHA essential for the growth and development of the brain and eyes of babies. A woman's level of omega-3 at conception and during pregnancy impacts her baby's health into adulthood. But, because DHA comes from fish, which most pregnant women choose not to eat because of concerns of mercury, PCBs, and other contaminates, most pregnant women are not getting the omega-3 they and their babies need.

"Because of warnings from the FDA and EPA concerning mercury levels in fish, more and more pregnant women are avoiding eating fish out of fear of contamination. Most women don't know that taking a high-quality omega-3 fish oil supplement can give them the omega-3 they need without the contaminants they don't," said Kara Bolton, Communications Manager at NourishLife.

Omega-3 supplementation during conception benefits the baby by promoting healthy eye development, proper brain and immune function development, better bone growth, and improved cognition & IQ during school-age years. In addition, the benefits pregnant or postpartum women experience from omega-3 supplementation include improved mood, healthy bones and joints, restoration of nutritional balance, and improved memory function.

"We thought Mother's Day was a perfect time to give back to all women who are expecting babies or have just become mothers. Our gift to them is the gift of health," said Jason Way, VP of Customer Experience. "We know that a healthy baby equals a happy mom, and by providing free samples of PharmaOmega Mom which has been specifically formulated for pregnancy, we are helping to change the world one mom and baby at a time."
