TEFL International, one of the world's largest TEFL and TESOL course providers, is now offering courses in the UK and Greece, in addition to 20 other locations worldwide. TEFL International assists all course graduates in finding English teaching jobs worldwide.

New York, New York (PRWEB) May 10, 2008 -- Already one of the largest distributed course providers in the field, TEFL International is now offering individuals interested in teaching English as a foreign language two new training centers, one in Ios, Greece and the other in London.

"TEFL International is one of the few organizations in the world that provide globally accepted TEFL certification, so our courses are always in demand," said Alex Strachan, the Marketing Director of TEFL International. "We're opening these new centers in response to the demand from prospective TEFL students in those regions. Many local students want to study in familiar surroundings. And for those inclined to explore different cultures, these new training centers follow our tradition of providing instruction amid visually appealing surroundings with plenty of attractions."

The TEFL courses in London are held in a beautiful historical building, located near Waterloo Station, the United Kingdom's largest railroad station, as well as shops, restaurants and other entertainment. Trainees on the island of Ios can enjoy ancient ruins, picturesque landscapes and beaches, and an energetic nightlife.

"We select locales like these because our students definitely deserve pleasurable breaks from training rigors. We really put course takers through their paces," said Strachan. The TEFL International centers provide intensive four-week courses that include more than 120 hours of instruction in English grammar, teaching skills and classroom management. Trainees also undergo hours of teaching practice with actual English students while their trainers observe and offer critiques.

For students with housing concerns, accommodation at or near training centers can be arranged as part of the training package. In London, trainees can pay for lodging right at the school, complete with a meal plan. Other options include residing at local hostels that cater to tourists or renting a private room. The school in Ios offers guesthouse accommodations, and during the summer months of July to September, students have the option of saving money by sharing a room.

The TEFL course in Greece opened in March 2008 and the London school will open May 12, 2008. Accommodation charges are extra for both sites. Those interested in teaching English abroad can choose from an array of TEFL International locales: the United States, Spain, Italy, France, Greece, Argentina, Egypt, Vietnam, China, Thailand, India, the Czech Republic and the Philippines.
