Lyricist Paul Turner has collaborated with composers Stephen Feigenbaum and Eric Funk on jazz tunes. Bonnie MacLeod, pianist and chanteuse, premieres two of these songs at the Cabaret Songwriters Showcase of 2008 in Cambridge Massachusetts, on 24 May 2008.

Bonnie MacLeod's performances are part of the Cabaret Songwriters Showcase of 2008, which takes place on 24 May 2008 at The Blacksmith House, 56 Brattle Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The event runs from 7:00pm to 10:00pm.

BONNIE MACLEOD is a highly versatile and accomplished pianist, singer and composer. She combines a fascinating and eclectic array of artistic influences in her performances. Her gifts have brought her around the world including Europe, Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and North Africa. During her seventeen years living in New York City, Bonnie appeared at such venues as the Rainbow Room, the Waldorf Astoria and Windows on the World. She also appeared in several off-Broadway productions including Noel Coward's "Waiting in the Wings". She has performed on Regency Cruise Lines with itineraries featuring Alaska, South America, the Caribbean and New York-Montreal.
Bonnie's musical influences include classical, jazz, and impressionist techniques. Robert Sherman of WQXR FM Radio in New York City has called her original compositions for piano "delightful and sensitive piano miniatures."
Bonnie now lives in Boston, and is a member of the Boston Association of Cabaret Artists (BACA). Her music continues to delight her audiences, and to bring artistry and excellence to her craft.
PAUL TURNER has collaborated on art songs, folk tunes, and jazz songs. "Come Take Me In Style" was released on the jazz album "Such Is Love" in February 2008. With Eric Funk and Stephen Feigenbaum, Paul has collaborated on 15 songs. In every collaboration so far, the composers that Paul Turner has worked with have written songs based on his words. Also in May 2008, the song cycle, "Debit Dude" (composer: Eva Kendrick) will premiere at the San Francisco Conservatory Concert Hall, with bass-baritone William O'Neill. Other collaborators include composers Alan Dickson, Paul Diehl, and Larry Alan Smith.
ERIC FUNK was born in Deer Lodge, Montana, in 1949. He studied composition with Tomas Svoboda, Sandor Veress, and with Krzysztof Penderecki. Since 1985, he has lived in Bozeman, Montana, where he was Music Director and Conductor of the Helena Symphony Orchestra and the Helena Symphonic Chorus (1994-2002). In 1994, he co-founded the Gallatin Chamber Orchestra in Bozeman. He also plays and teaches jazz in his private studio and performs professionally with the jazz quartet Backburner. He has taught music theory at colleges in Oregon, Washington, Texas and Montana. He was featured on the Charles Osgood CBS SUNDAY MORNING show, October 1998 as a result of a lead story on the front page of the New York Times Arts & Leisure section, April 14,1998; featured on Theme & Variations, nationally syndicated NPR program (August 23-30, 2002).
STEPHEN FEIGENBAUM is a contemporary composer of chamber, orchestral, and vocal music. In 2007, his Serenade for Strings received the second-place award in the national competition for composition, Senior Division, sponsored by the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), after receiving first-place awards in the Massachusetts and Eastern States competitions. Stephen has been interviewed and his music performed on the National Public Radio program "From the Top." In 2005, he received the ASCAP Foundation's Morton Gould Young Composer Award and was a finalist in the 2006 and 2007 competitions.
