New Pulsation Dampener Without Any Moving Parts Reduces Pressure Variations by Up to 90%

Download this press release as an Adobe PDF document.

A flowthrough device which reduces pressure variations by using the volume of liquid and impedance of built-in orifices to reduce pulsations.

Oegstgeest, Netherlands (PRWEB) May 12, 2008 -- LDP pulsation dampener with no moving parts reduces pressure variations by up to 90%.Presently only supplied in the USA is now marketing the range internationally with ESE

The LDP dampeners are an inline flowthrough device which reduces pressure variations created by pumps and quick closing valves. The LDP does this by using the volume of the compressed liquid and the impedance of the built-in orifices to change the phase of the pressure pulsations.
There are no moving parts internally or any of the usual gas pre-charge found in other dampeners.

Sizing of the LDP is based on the volume per pulse with standard pressure range to 350 bars. Other designs are possible to 1350 bars. Since there are no plastic parts in the units the temperature range runs from - 270 to +550 c.

Design is maintenance free with installation orientation either vertical or horizontal. For best result the units should be installed close to the source of pressure. 90 % reduction of any generated pressure variations can be achieved over the full operating pressure range

Th LDP dampener can be foun d at both the inlet and outlet of the pump systems to reduce cavitation and vibrations. Control of liquid dynamics is essential to ensure efficient and safe use of process systems. Uncontrolled liquids in motion can destroy the pump system to include meters, valves and instrumentation.
