Six-pack & twelve-pack ice cream cupcakes now available from PhillySwirl at Costco, BJ's, Sam's Club, Walmart, Winn Dixie, HEB, Giant Eagle, Topps, Sure Winner and independent grocers around the country.

Tampa, Florida (PRWEB) May 12, 2008 -- PhillySwirl, producer of ice cream novelties and flavored ice pops, is pleased to debut its newest innovation--Ice Cream Cupcakes. These frozen delights are half cake (either chocolate or white) and half vanilla ice cream topped with icing and sprinkles. With two kinds of cupcakes in every box, they're sure to please kids and adults alike!

PhillySwirl's fresh-from-the-freezer ice cream cupcakes come in a six-pack serving tray shaped like a muffin tin and a party sized 12-pack box (containing two six-packs) available at club stores. "They're perfect for all kinds of entertaining," says PhillySwirl co-founder Max Lapin. "Fun, refreshing, ready to serve, individually sized…what more could you ask for in a dessert?" And unlike a traditional ice cream cake, there's no need to worry about ice cream melting faster than you can eat it: Serve the whole tray or remove as many as you need from the re-sealable plastic package. Prices range from $4.99 - $5.99/6-pack and $7.99 - $9.99/12-pack box.

About PhillySwirl

PhillySwirl co-founders, and Penn State grads, Alex Plotkin and Max Lapin quit law school to sell Italian water ice in Florida. The old college buddies started their business with an old ice cream machine and a chest freezer and a rented a 400-square-foot house with a carport for a storefront. For nearly two years, they sold their signature Italian water ice flavors (lemon, cherry and blueberry) out of the same place they lived. One day, a customer who happened to be the cafeteria manager for a Tampa High School asked Alex and Max to make 300 cups of Italian ice for the school. Eventually, the two entrepreneurs got PhillySwirl into the entire Florida school system, and now you can find Philly Swirl novelty ice cream and popsicles in major grocery stores across the U.S.
