John Roberts Becomes First Tri-Certified Printer in Minnesota

Color management leader remains at forefront of environmental leadership.

Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) May 16, 2008 -- The John Roberts Company, an industry leader in color management, announced that it's the first printer in Minnesota to achieve tri-certification after recently receiving additional certifications from the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI Inc.) and The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes (The PEFC Council). Previously, the company received Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain-of-Custody (COC) certification through SmartWood, an FSC-accredited body.

By achieving SFI certification, John Roberts joins a growing list of companies, land owners and organizations all committed to improving forest practices on a global scale. SFI is one of the most respected and recognized wood certification programs in the world.

PEFC is a system that's primarily used in Europe to ensure the sustainability of wood products. Both certifications were audited by PricewaterhouseCoopers.

These certifications follow on the heels of John Roberts achieving carbon neutral status through its extensive environmental management system to recycle materials that would have otherwise ended up in a landfill.
