Voyageur Publishing's new kid on the block, Waypoint AirMed & Rescue Magazine, has moved to a bimonthly printing schedule after just one issue.

Bristol, UK (PRWEB) May 17, 2008 -- Voyageur Publishing's new kid on the block, Waypoint AirMed & Rescue Magazine, has moved to a bimonthly printing schedule after just one issue. The publishers of the magazine, which was launched in February as a quarterly publication, said the change was prompted by a positive response from its readership in the aeromedical and air rescue industries. Starting from Issue Two, the June/July issue published this week, Waypoint will be printed each two months bringing readers six magazines a year.

Other changes to the Waypoint offering include new sections for police aviation and aerial firefighters, reflecting the valuable contributions these services make to air rescue, said title editor James Paul Wallis. He added: "Voyageur Publishing is proud of the success we've seen with Issue One of Waypoint. Going bimonthly will enhance our ability to give our readers up-to-the-minute news, and the dedicated police and fire fighting pages complete the picture to cover all aspects of air medical and air rescue work."

Lyn Paver, chief executive of the UK's Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust, praised the debut issue of the magazine: "I see it fulfilling a much needed role of drawing a lot of information together in the same place, and providing up-to-date news on the emergency aviation sector, something up to now missing from the international magazines we receive from the world's press."

Patrick Schomaker, director of sales and marketing for European Air Ambulance, described the publication as a 'fresh, insightful and informative magazine packed with thoroughly researched articles'. He added: "Waypoint has exceeded all expectations and will undoubtedly establish itself as one of the essential reference publications for the air medical and rescue market."
