MPG, a Havas Media agency, has selected Radian6 as its platform for social media monitoring and analysis. Uses platform to analyze conversations in social media to uncover insights, research trends, measure campaign effectiveness and impact and recommend optimal online media placements.

New York, NY (PRWEB) June 24, 2008 -- MPG, a Havas Media agency, has selected Radian6 as its platform for social media monitoring and analysis. The agency will utilize the platform with its sibling agencies, Arnold and EuroRSCG, to analyze conversations in social media to uncover insights, research trends, measure campaign effectiveness and impact and recommend optimal online media placements.

MPG is the largest network within Havas Media, the media arm of Havas, which is the 6th largest communications agency in the world.

Social media often mirrors what's being covered and discussed in mainstream media and vice versa. The real-time ability for MPG to see exactly how a campaign is performing using Radian6 will also allow for any course corrections along the way and lead to even more enhanced media placements for our clients.
Radian6's social media monitoring platform tracks what is being said online about brands, organizations and issues in real-time as discovered. The solution monitors all forms of social media, including blog sites, video-sharing sites, opinion review forums, photo-sharing sites and micro-blogging platforms including Twitter.

"Social media has become a vital pillar to any media campaign," said Joseph Abruzzo, EVP & Director of Research at MPG. "A large and growing percentage of brand discussions and thus brand ownership is becoming defined by the conversations happening amongst consumers online. It's important for every brand owner to listen, understand and find ways to engage in these discussions in a meaningful way."

"It is entirely possible to now gauge a community's attitudes towards a brand by listening and analyzing," added Marcel LeBrun, CEO of Radian6. "Understanding their views can help a brand find creative ways to fill needs and wants. Tracking how a campaign is accepted by consumers by paying attention to conversations in social media also allows for better determination of ROI and sustainability of a campaign's message over time."

Abruzzo continues, "Social media often mirrors what's being covered and discussed in mainstream media and vice versa. The real-time ability for MPG to see exactly how a campaign is performing using Radian6 will also allow for any course corrections along the way and lead to even more enhanced media placements for our clients."
