Former CMO of Ingenio brings over 20 years experience to Marin, the search marketing technology company used by advertisers such as ZipRealty, Zappos and Avenue A | Razorfish

San Francisco, Calif. (PRWEB) June 26, 2008 -- Marin Software, provider of the leading enterprise-class paid search management application for advertisers and agencies, today announced that marketing veteran Marc Barach has joined the company as CMO. Barach joins Marin Software from pay-per-call search advertising pioneer Ingenio (acquired by AT&T in December), where he was CMO.

"The life blood of any company is its people. We've built an exceptional team at Marin with deep operating experience in paid search, and that serves as a magnet to top talent," said Chris Lien, chief executive officer of Marin Software. "Having a well-known innovator in the industry like Marc Barach join the Marin team is a testament to the momentum we've built in search marketing over the past two years. I look forward to Marc's leadership in marketing and business development as we offer Marin Search Marketer to a growing number of search advertisers and agencies."

Barach brings more than 20 years of marketing, leadership and operational experience in the technology and financial sectors to Marin Software. Previously, he served as CMO of Ingenio, where he helped pioneer a multi-billion advertising market with pay-per-call technology and was instrumental in the company's significant revenue growth over the past 5 years. Over the course of his career, Barach has served in a number of executive-level roles at emerging and Fortune 500 companies, including I-Impact, InsWeb, Charles Schwab and First Nationwide Bank.

"The paid search market is exploding - it's expected to reach nearly $27 billion by 2011- and the industry is growing more complex and competitive every day," said Marc Barach, CMO of Marin Software. "Search marketers need technology like Marin's to help them navigate the waters of this burgeoning market, because the industry has simply outgrown Excel spreadsheets and first-generation solutions. The fact that Marin has attracted some of the world's largest advertisers and agencies underscores the strength of the company's enterprise-class, software-as-a-service solution. I'm looking forward to working with the team as we continue to bring this intuitive search marketing technology to the market."

Marin Software offers the industry's first enterprise-class paid search management application, helping advertisers and agencies manage their SEM programs to save time and improve financial performance. A complete software-as-a-service solution for paid search management, Marin Search Marketer, includes cross-publisher campaign management, automatic keyword generation and submission, flexible revenue tracking and bid optimization, and business-level analytics. Marin Software serves some of the world's leading advertisers and their agencies, including Zappos, ZipRealty and Avenue A | Razorfish. Customers benefit from Marin Software's pay-as-you-go, SaaS model which deploys in a day with no required destination URL changes.
