Nova Scotia's Famous Bluenose II Tall Ship Arrives June 19, 2008 for tours of the Nova Scotia attraction and Private Sailing Events
Halifax, Nova Scotia (PRWEB) June 3, 2008 -- Nova Scotia is coming to Toronto with the Bluenose II & The Maritime Festival. The Nova Scotia Tall Ship event, from June 20-22, 2008, offers a glimpse into a favorite Nova Scotia vacation activity with tours of the Tall Ships and more. The event is Nova Scotia's biggest marketing event of the year. Bluenose II will be the centre of this celebration along with three other Nova Scotia Tall Ships on the Toronto Waterfront on the Queens Quay Harbourfront at HtO Park East, just south of the Rogers Centre.
The Nova Scotia pavilion will consist of 30 booths, designed to promote the seven tourism regions: Halifax Metro, South Shore, Yarmouth and Acadian Shores, Fundy Shore and Annapolis Valley, Northumberland Shore, Eastern Shore and Cape Breton Island. The Nova Scotia promotion will include on-site contests and giveaways, a consumer travel show, travel trade and travel media receptions, entertainment and costumed animators. Toronto residents will have an opportunity to see, hear, taste and smell an enticing sampler of Nova Scotia's authentic seacoast culture and get a glimpse at what fun awaits on a Nova Scotia vacation.
In similar promotions in the early 1990's attendance at the Nova Scotia event drew approximately 40,000 visitors over a three-day period and with the Bluenose II in two, the waterfront is expected to be a popular destination over this summertime weekend.

Bluenose II to tie up at wharf-side at approximately 1p.m. with public tours from 3pm-8pm. No public or private sailing. Nova Scotia vacation information will be available at Visitor Information Services from 3pm-8pm for those visiting the ship.

Nova Scotia Pavilion opens to the public from 12pm-8pm with public tours of Bluenose II from 10am-5pm (no public sailing). A private sailing is scheduled from 6pm-8pm.
VIC services will commence at 10am.
