Local media outlets can tap iPhone users to quickly send in breaking news photos.

Nashville, TN (PRWEB) July 2, 2008 -- Cell Journalist, a market leader in user generated content solutions for TV/Print/Radio stations, will be releasing an iPhone application for its clients. The additional functionality of an iPhone app, when combined with Cell Journalist's existing platform, will bring content online and on-air more quickly.

Over the past year the most captivating images and videos of news events (e.g. bridge collapse, Midwest flooding, VA Tech tragedy) have come from citizen journalists. Media outlets using the Cell Journalist platform can now offer their viewers or readers the branded iPhone app, making it even easier to send in breaking news content. Users can also add information such as title, description and location to each image, directly from the handset.

Sending breaking news content from camera phones is at the core of the Cell Journalist product. We expect to release the application in Q3, and will be continually enhancing the iPhone app. We will also be announcing application developments for other platforms in the near future
