"A Patriot Act" is a fictional representation of a possible reality. Concern about the possible abuse of the loopholes contained in H.R. 3162, also known as the Patriot Act, prompted Laskowski and co-writer Wendy Keith to create a disturbing scenario where the lines dividing civil liberties and national security become distorted.
Laskowski, who also has operated MohawkPoodle Productions for 20 years, has over 25 years of production experience, most recently as director of photography/camera operator specializing in digital and electronic cinematography. This is the directorial debut for Laskowski as well as the first film to be released under the DigitalReel Productions banner.
