Retail TouchPoints Launches Retail Industry's First Ever Virtual Trade Show

Hasbrouck Heights, NJ (PRWEB) July 23, 2008 -- Retail TouchPoints a digital publication focused on the customer-facing aspects of the retail industry, has announced the launch of the sector's first-ever virtual trade show, which will be presented live online August 6, 2008.

The 2008 Customer Engagement Conference will offer retailers a platform to access a menu of "on demand" sessions, as well as the opportunity to research relevant solution providers in the virtual exhibit hall. Registrants will be able to log in throughout the day during the live event on August 6th, and then will have access to archived content sessions for 90 days.

"Given the challenging economy, it is becoming more difficult for retail executives to travel to networking and educational events. A key part of our mission at Retail TouchPoints is to take advantage of the latest Web 2.0 technologies in order to provide new ways to drive thought leadership and collaboration among leading executives in the retail sector," says Sal LoSauro, VP of Business Development. "Consistent with our tagline of Optimizing Every Customer Interaction, we plan to use the virtual trade show platform to provide new ways to conveniently connect retailers with peers and solution providers."

Industry leaders have stepped up to show their support for this innovative event through sponsorship including Platinum Sponsor Cisco Systems, as well as Gold Sponsors Escalate Retail, iCongo, AccesVia, and SoftTechnics.

Leading retail executives have also gotten behind the event as speakers, including Mike Hayes, SVP Bon Ton Stores, Laura Davis Taylor, founder of Retail Media Consulting, and author of the new book Lighting Up The Aisles, and Jon C. Stine, Director of Retail for Consumer Products , Cisco Systems. Topics will include Delivering Winning Retail Experiences, Customer-Centric Marketing, engaging The Mobile Consumer, Investing in the In-Store Environment, among many others.

Registration for the Customer Engagement Conference is free to qualified retail executives, and hundreds of executives have already signed up to take part in the event.
