With the World Series of Poker Main Event in a 100-day layoff until November, the poker world will turn to the World Poker Tour's Legends of Poker tournament, which starts on Saturday from the Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles. Poker's top professionals will be in attendance along with a bundle of online poker players who are members of PocketFives.com. The tournament will be covered live on PocketFivesLive.com, the home of WPT coverage.

San Jose, Costa Rica (PRWEB) August 22, 2008 -- The World Poker Tour's Legends of Poker begins on Saturday from the Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles, California. Amidst the sea of poker talent at the event will be Court Harrington, Tournament Reporter for PocketFivesLive.com, which covers online poker players in the biggest live tournaments, including the upcoming Legends of Poker. Next up for Harrington after L.A. are the World Series of Poker Europe Main Event and the Ultimate Bet Aruba Poker Classic.

Harrington discussed what players can expect at the Legends of Poker event on this week's PocketFives Podcast: "All of the structures on the WPT circuit have gotten better. The knock on them was that the final tables were a crap shoot. They have really good structures now for players. Some of the tournaments are going to a triple-stack structure. That was the case at the Bellagio Cup. It gives better players an even greater chance to rise to the top and make final tables." Players can register for coverage free of charge at PocketFivesLive.com, the source for WPT coverage.

"Derdings" was awarded $37,500 for first place in the Absolute Poker Weekly $150K Guaranteed.

James "P0KERPR033" Campbell moved up nine spots to #7 this week in the PocketFives.com Online Poker Rankings.
