FileCatalyst® showcased at premier networking show at booth #1138

New York, NY (PRWEB) September 17, 2008 -- Unlimi-Tech Software has announced the release of FileCatalyst® Direct version 2.6 at InterOP New York 2008, held in New York City from September17th-18th. At booth #1138, the company will showcase the latest FileCatalyst® acceleration technology, which allows enterprises to move large data files over the internet at the fastest possible rate.

The FileCatalyst® technology is completely software-based, and is designed to overcome network performance bottlenecks to maximize use of available bandwidth. Improved file transfer speeds combined with incremental transfers and on-the-fly compression provide real-world increases 100 fold over traditional file transfer methods. This acceleration technology is packaged into three distinct products: FileCatalyst® Direct, FileCatalyst® Webmail and FileCatalyst® Web Workflow.

FileCatalyst® Direct is a point-to-point transfer system that offers advanced scheduling and administration features. FileCatalyst® Direct 2.6 supports several improvements, including improved bandwidth management to guarantee file delivery times, higher levels of security through abuse monitoring, and SNMP traps for server status. FileCatalyst® Webmail allows end users to send files of any size to anywhere in the world, using only the recipient's email address. FileCatalyst® Web Workflow combines the patent-pending FileCatalyst® acceleration technology with a web interface, offering upload and tracking of digital content as it moves from source to sink.

"FileCatalyst® acceleration technology not only speeds up the file transfer process but adds much needed reliability and guaranteed delivery options to the overall file transfer process," said Zaki Usman, Vice President of Marketing for Unlimi-Tech Software, the creators of FileCatalyst®. "The result is a software solution that successfully addresses the needs of the managed file transfer market--as evident by a customer base of over 800 satisfied businesses."
