Providence Property & Casualty joins PGA TOUR Players and TPC Craig Ranch for Military Charities Event

For a second year, Providence P&C will be a Supporting Sponsor for the Birdies for the Brave golf tournament being held Thursday, October 16, 2008 at TPC Craig Ranch. Donations and net proceeds of sponsorships benefit six outstanding non-profit organizations dedicated to supporting U.S. troops and their families.

Part of the PGA TOUR's National Birdies for the Brave program, this event underscores the TOUR's giving back mission and benefits six non-profit organizations dedicated to assisting U.S. troops and their families: Homes for Our Troops (supported by TOUR player Phil Mickelson), Special Operations Warrior Foundation (supported by TOUR player Phil Mickelson), Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund (supported by TOUR player Rory Sabbatini), Naval Special Warfare Foundation (supported by TOUR player Jerry Kelly), Wounded Warrior Project (supported by TOUR players Frank Lickliter II, Jason Gore and Nick Watney), Operation Homefront (supported by TOUR player Corey Pavin).

The PGA TOUR Charities, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) public charity with a goal to raise more than $1.5 million this year throughout the TPC Network for this important cause.
