David T. Viecelli and Alex Kadvan announce a new artist management partnership that now represents Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, St. Vincent, Antibalas, Southern Culture on the Skids and more.

New York, NY (Billboard Publicity Wire) January 6, 2009 -- David T. Viecelli and Alex Kadvan are pleased to announce the launch of Lever and Beam, a new artist management company based in New York City. The two senior partners and their staff now provide personal management representation for Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, St. Vincent, Antibalas, Southern Culture on the Skids, Budos Band and Naomi Shelton & The Gospel Queens.

David T. Viecelli is the founder and President of The Billions Corporation (established 1989), a leading independent booking agency based in Chicago and Seattle and representing, among others, The Arcade Fire, Death Cab For Cutie, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Vampire Weekend, The Swell Season, Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver, Sufjan Stevens and Neko Case. He is also a founding partner of Billions Australia, an Australian agency and promoter of international acts. Mr. Viecelli has managed Southern Culture on the Skids since 1995.

Alex Kadvan is the founder and owner of Kadvan Entertainment (established 2002) , based in New York City and responsible for the personal management of Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Antibalas, Budos Band, Sway Machinery, Jamie Leonhart, Menahan Street Band and Naomi Shelton & The Gospel Queens. Mr. Kadvan also has provided contract musicians to concert productions and studio sessions of all kinds in New York for the last eight years.

In addition to Mr. Kadvan and Mr. Viecelli, the organization includes Administrative Manager Todd Harty and Administrative Assistant Marc de Neree. Mr. Harty has relocated from Los Angeles where he has been the Operations Manager of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and Presentations. Mr. de Neree is a veteran of Kadvan Entertainment.
