Local broker offers advice on buying tough Steelers tickets in tough times.

Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) January 12, 2009 -- Despite a battered economy, Steelers fans are still finding a way to make it to the games. To help in this process, ineedtwo.com (a Pittsburgh ticket website) would like to help in this effort. Now that the Steelers are hosting the Baltimore Ravens, in the AFC championship playoff game, ineedtwo is offering advice on finding tickets to the Steelers' biggest game of the year, at a budgeted price.

Advice for fans:
1. Call one of the major Pittsburgh newspapers, and place a want ad in the ticket section. This is an old trick that scalpers use to obtain hundreds of tickets. Believe it or not, many season ticket holders call these want ads, and sell their extra seats at a reasonable price. Sometimes at face value.

2. Buy online at the right time. Brave diehard fans, with limited funds, might wait until Thursday or Friday morning to buy tickets online. This is the day that most sellers drop their prices, otherwise they will have to take them to the street. Select Saturday shipping, and you will have them in time for the game. Beware though, prices could go up since the Ravens are coming to town.

3. Do some price comparison. For example, the Pittsburgh Steelers website allows season ticket holders to resell tickets there. This site is very popular, however usually the most expensive, due to the volume of traffic it receives.

Face value for most tickets start $155 each. As of Sunday afternoon, ineedtwo's lowest priced ticket was $229 for an upper level seat, and $500 for a lower level 50 yard line ticket. A recent check of Stubhub, and other national sites showed tickets going for as much as $3000 each. No bear market here.

ineedtwo.com specializes in Pittsburgh events, and is a of member of the TicketNetwork, which manages an online ticket marketplace for season ticket holders and sellers. Tickets listed on ineedtwo.com are priced by the general public, and prices vary from reasonable to absolutely crazy.
