The Metropolitan Dog Club (www.metropolitandogclub.com) was founded by Charlotte Reed, Jane St. Lifer, Dr. Joel Gavriele-Gold, Fran Prince and Patrcia Enright in the summer of July 2007. As pure-bred dog enthusiasts, this group wanted to create a social club that addressed the current needs of all dog owners but also provided a benefit to the community in which they lived. The purpose of the Metropolitan Dog Club is to provide a social, educational and community service platform for pure bred dog enthusiasts. The club interests include and are not limited to showmanship; animal health, welfare and legislation; responsible dog breeding; the human-canine bond; current pet trends; and related cultural events.
