The theme for the 2008 American Artisanal Treasure Awards is "Green," as in Green Grocer. The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills sent out a call for submissions to the American Federation of Certified Farmer's Markets in California. The products were judged on May 29, 2008 by an esteemed panel of experts including Kit Rachlis, Editor-In-Chief, Los Angeles Magazine; Carolynn Spence, Executive Chef, Bar Marmont; Amy Albert, Senior Editor, Bon Appetit Magazine; Hans Goplen, Executive Chef, The Farm of Beverly Hills; Barbara Brass, West Coast Regional Director of Sales, Wolfgang Puck Catering; Suzanne Arros, Catering Coordinator, Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel; and John Laroquette, Actor/Celebrity Foodie.
