In the spirit of Americans coming together under a new president, Joie de Vivre - California's largest boutique hotel collection - is extending its "Tax Relief" offer to all Americans. When U.S. residents stay at any of its 30 hotels, Joie de Vivre will pay their occupancy taxes through April 15, 2009.
We hope this promotion will encourage more Americans to think of California as a 'state of relief' during a time when many people are looking for a refuge from the bad news.

San Francisco (PRWEB) January 7, 2009 -- In the spirit of Americans coming together under a new president, Joie de Vivre - California's largest boutique hotel collection - is extending its "Tax Relief" offer to all Americans. When U.S. residents stay at any of its 30 hotels, Joie de Vivre will pay their occupancy taxes through April 15, 2009.

To showcase the tax-relief campaign benefits in a humorous way, the San Francisco-based company created a YouTube video on view at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFpaiLuTx14. To receive tax relief, guests must book in advance using the promotional code "CALTAX" online at http://www.jdvhotels.com. The offer - previously only available to Californian residents - is valid for U.S. residents only and applies to the best available rate at time of booking. Occupancy tax rates range up to 14%, depending on which city a hotel is located.

"This is an unprecedented presidential inauguration during a time of national financial challenge. It is great to share some good news for those visiting California from all over this great country," said Chip Conley, Joie de Vivre's founder and chief executive officer. "We hope this promotion will encourage more Americans to think of California as a 'state of relief' during a time when many people are looking for a refuge from the bad news."

Joie de Vivre's boutique hotels range from the luxuriously revitalizing Hotel Vitale to the "rock 'n roll" Phoenix Hotel in San Francisco; from the hip Hotel Angeleno in Los Angeles to the idyllic Ventana Inn & Spa in Big Sur; from the oceanfront Dream Inn in Santa Cruz, to the historic Hotel Durant in Berkeley. Each Joie de Vivre boutique hotel is uniquely Californian and possesses its own dynamic personality.
