New York, NY (Vocus/PRWeb) April 28, 2008 -- At participating Loews Hotels from Santa Monica to Lake Las Vegas, tweens and teens can now add 'spa' on their list of vacation to-dos through a customized collection of playful packages that include colorful manis, fruity pedis, princess-like up-dos, cleansing facials, aromatic massages, make-up lessons and more.

More than ever, pre-teens and teens are adopting the more grown-up fashions and attitudes of their 20-something counterparts
Loews Hotels has introduced an assortment of spa treatments in response to the emerging trend of KGOY (Kids Getting Older Younger). "More than ever, pre-teens and teens are adopting the more grown-up fashions and attitudes of their 20-something counterparts," said Emily Goldfischer, Vice President, Loews Hotels and mother of two. "Because moms don’t want to see their little girls grow up too fast, this collection seeks to establish a nice balance, offering fun, kid-friendly spa treatments that retain a ‘let’s play dress-up’ quality."

Spa packages include the following:
At Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson, the Lakeside Spa’s Queen For A Day spa package includes three royal treatments: The Marie Antoinette (an elaborate up-do complete with tiara), the Perfect Princess Pout (gloss application and tips for lips) and No-More-Chores Cinderella Classics (a classic mani/pedi with non-toxic nail polish). The package is priced at $150.

At Loews Coronado Bay Resort in Coronado (near San Diego), Loews has partnered with Pottery Barn’s PBteen to create a stylish teen lounge and spa room. Outfitted with cozy loungers, two iChairs and Nintendo Wii, the beach-themed environment is the ideal place for teens to pass the time between the Golden Goddess spa package treatments. The $175 package includes a Youth Therapy Facial (25-minute green tea and ginger facial), Ultra Bronzing Organic Spray-On Tanning (a full-body organic spray-on treatment), and Golden Pedi (featuring gold minerals and Artemisia flowers). Teens can also opt for a variety of other services at Sea Spa, including belly dancing classes, Aveda hair treatments and a couple's massage with their BFF.

At the oceanfront Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel, the Ocean Spa & Fitness Center’s Green Teen spa package is designed to provide busy teens with a much-needed interlude of serenity. The $150 package includes a GreenApy Massage (30-minute rosemary-infused massage), Pacific Glow (a holistic body treatment with salt-mousse body scrub) and Island Pedicure (tropical yogurt foot scrub, foot massage and polish). A goodie bag filled with product samples and information on skin care and a healthy lifestyle complete the package.

Outside Las Vegas, Salon Moulay at Loews Lake Las Vegas offers the Mini Moulay Little Spa Day, a pampering and primping session for the under-12 set. The package includes Lil’ Miss Mani or Pedi (a manicure or pedicure with soak, shaping, buffing, hand or foot massage and polish), Princess Updo (an elegant up-do perfect for special occasions) and Tiny Touchups (a mini-makeup application with lip gloss, blush, body shimmer and perfume). The $160 price includes Moulay munchies and a Mocktail for lunch.

All spa packages are based on availability through December 31, 2008. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult when participating in spa and salon activities. A parent or legal guardian must sign a waiver for children to participate.
