Crazy! Lunatic! Mental! Swirling! Pulsing! Racing! Bracing! I love it!
From the sultry New Age ambiance stylings of Arabian Dance, to the pounding House rythyms of Sugar Plum Fairy, 'The Nutcracker Suite Electronique' is a unique blend of genres.

"Amazing! Innovative! The Nutcracker for a New Generation!"
~~Judy Samuel, Oasis CD

"Is there a substance other than smoke to describe this heat? If not, I'll make one up ... Cyber Cosmic Smoke! "
~~Big Swole, ATZ Recordz/Carnival Beats

Brete was previously best known for his mystical, melancholy New Age/Ambient productions, but 'The Nutcracker Suite Electronique' (NSE) will likely raise a few eyebrows in that crowd. 'No worries!' says Brete. Waltz of the Flowers is a glorious night at the Synthony (yes, he said 'Synthony') and certain to elate my New Age listeners!'

Positioning the ambient, hypnotic 'Arabian Dance,' next to the thunderous Progressive Rock cut 'Russian Dance' with it's bone-jarring drum solo was 'an ambitious challenge,' said Brète. 'I wanted to keep this production pure with a full dynamic range. I absolutely refused to use compression in the final mastering. Although the major labels these days squish the tracks to death to maximize volume, this kills the track's dynamics. Tchaikovsky may 'roll over,' but I hope only once or twice,' smirked Brète.

When listeners draw the obvoius comparison between NSE and Mannheim Steamroller, Brète replies, 'Chip Davis' work has inspired millions around world. I am one of those inspired. But, as far as my research has gone, NSE is the first work of its kind: the complete Suite with Electronica instrumentation and Dance/Ambient arrangements. This has not been done before.'
