Clubco.com and The Foundation House Issue Shopping for Abundance Holiday Challenge In New York City to Announce Partnership that Gives Charities Chance to Fish All Year Long

New York, NY, Denver, CO & Salt Lake City, UT (Vocus) October 15, 2007 -- CLUBCO.com, a consumer referral e-commerce shopping portal which gives cash rewards back to shoppers, today, announced its partnership with The Foundation House, a library of charities, to launch the Shopping for Abundance Christmas Charity Challenge.

According to Kristen Lamb, author, radio host and founder of The Foundation House, the idea came from a group of women who were a little weary of the constant need to raise funds for their favorite charities. Looking for a better way they approached the president of CLUBCO.com, who was happy to help and generously committed to help and the structure of Shopping for Abundance was born.

With everyone helping, consumers and retailers alike, we could surely help fund causes that need our attention. The Christmas Charity Challenge is a great way to launch this idea during the holidays yet I love the idea of supporting our favorite causes each and every time we shop throughout the entire year.
“Imagine a world where national retailers and consumerism feeds all the world’s good causes,” said Lamb. “It is another way of teaching people to fish ... we shop, they sell, we all give to those who need. I think it’s a brilliant solution.”

According to Kerrie Goodell, partner of Clubco.com and founder of Cartridge for Kids®, they were pleased to donate thousands of $35 dollar online shopping memberships because they are big believers in finding ways to have charities well funded.

“Now everyone who shops can give without paying additional funds,” said Goodell. “With everyone helping, consumers and retailers alike, we could surely help fund causes that need our attention. The Christmas Charity Challenge is a great way to launch this idea during the holidays yet I love the idea of supporting our favorite causes each and every time we shop throughout the entire year."

According to Andrea Preuss, Mrs. America 2006 and supporter of The Foundation House, CLUBCO.com is an innovative consumer referral marketing company that offers more than 1 million everyday, name brand products at great prices to consumers through a 24/7 online shopping portal. CLUBCO also offers a shopping portal to more than 100 of the nation’s largest online retailers.

“We are excited that so many organizations and the people who support them have already committed to take the Christmas Charity Challenge. Join thousands of individuals committed to make this holiday season of giving different by not walking into stores but rather shopping online,” said Pruess. “Commit now to do your normal everyday shopping online; you can fund your favorite cause too.”

Cartridges for Kids (CFK), is a division of Access Computer Products, Inc. and has been working with schools and non-profits since approximately 1999. CFK is an electronic recycler of such items as: empty printer and inkjet cartridges, laptops, cell phones, digital cameras, Ipods, video games and consoles and DVD movies.
