RFID4U™ and Sheffield Hallam University, IT Foundry, join forces to bring the CompTIA RFID+ ™ certification training to the UK marketplace. The first RFID+ training class was held on July 24 to 27, 2006 with 100% pass rate.

Sunnyvale, CA; Sheffield, U.K. (PRWEB) August 14, 2006 -- RFID4U™, the US’s largest RFID training company, and Sheffield Hallam University, IT Foundry, a top UK IT Training Centre, have joined forces to bring the CompTIA RFID+ ™ certification training to the UK marketplace. The first RFID+ training class was held on July 24 to 27, 2006 with 100% pass rate.

RFID4U has been a pioneer in RFID training for over four years, with more than 2,000 people trained from both the private sector and government. Dermott Reilly, EMEA Training Manager, with RFID4U said "We are delighted to work with IT Foundry and offer RFID training at Sheffield Hallam University. This will allow easy access for all RFID stakeholders in and around North of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The ability to offer CompTIA's new RFID+ Certification training, and give hands-on training with Sheffield Hallam University will ensure, not only that all students will gain a global perspective on this emerging technology, but that attendees will appreciate the relevance of this technology in the workplace, its fundamental role and value in industry, the Built Environment and Society generally." The next course is scheduled for Oct 19 - 22, 2006 at IT Foundry main campus.

Dave Rotherham, Head of IT Foundry, Sheffield Hallam University said: “CompTIA have recently released a new vendor neutral RFID+ certification. The IT Foundry has been recognised by them as one of the early adopters of this certification in the UK. This recognition has given us the opportunity to part sponsor a certification summit in London and team up with one of the worlds leading training providers in this area, namely RFID4U. This partnership with RFID4U has allowed us to run one of the first certification courses in Europe, and in July we had a group of delegates through the course and all of them successfully passed the RFID+ exam, which is great testament to the training delivered by the two expert instructors from America. The IT Foundry expects this relationship to blossom and we want to run many more of these and similar courses, through this partnership and raise the awareness of the benefits that RFID can bring to our region”

Matthew Poyiadgi, Regional Director Europe, CompTIA added “RFID is one of the most important technologies for modern business and this announcement represents a critical turning point for RFID skills development. Sheffield Hallam University with RFID4U have demonstrated why we need foundation training in emerging technologies and are the first to showcase how it should be delivered to ensure successful results.”

RFID4U's RFID+ curriculum as well as RFIDQ™, practice tests for RFID+, have been reviewed and approved by the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) as quality training materials through the CompTIA Authorized Quality Curriculum (CAQC) program. This recognition identifies these courses as meeting the strictest quality standards set by CompTIA to ensure it meets exacting requirements with regard to the complete coverage of exam content, as well as excellent content layout and instructional design material that helps certification candidates judge their learning or readiness for the certification exam. RFID4U is also CompTIA learning alliance partner and Sheffield Hallam University is approved location.
