Cornell Cooperative Extension received the Brine Family Trust Grant to support " SEAGRASS.LI" newsletter.

(PRWEB) October 5, 2007 -- Cornell Cooperative Extension received the Brine Family Trust Grant to support " SEAGRASS.LI " newsletter. The Cornell Cooperative Extension educational system enables people to improve their lives and communities through partnerships that put experience and research knowledge to work. "SEAGRASS.LI" newsletter is intended to increase local awareness and stress the importance of conserving seagrasses.

Chris Pickerell, Habitat Restoration Specialist, says, “Our grant from the Brine Family Charitable Trust will allow us to continue to publish our newsletter 'SEAGRASS.LI.' We look forward to the opportunity to reach resource managers and the public with information concerning the status and importance of seagrasses in the region. Without this funding, it would not be possible to get the word out on this critical issue.”
