Mactavish is selling the DVD of his highly acclaimed film SUMMER RUNNING: The Race to Cure Breast Cancer exclusively at the Stomp Cancer website, with net proceeds going directly to cancer research.

Mactavish invested his life savings and two years of his life to make the film, and has turned down traditional broadcast and distribution offers in favor of the Stomp Cancer campaign.

SUMMER RUNNING: The Race To Cure Breast Cancer is an immensely inspiring documentary about courageous women who wage very different fights against breast cancer. The film includes an introduction by Oscar-winning actress Sissy Spacek and profiles the astonishing work done by researchers and doctors from The University of Virginia, Johns Hopkins University and the nation’s leading private research facilities. The film is also a testament to the power, courage and dedication of women runners who lace up their shoes and hit the roads to save their mothers, sisters, daughters and friends.

The film has screened at film festivals and at theatrical fundraisers along the eastern seaboard with one event resulting in $18,000 for cancer researchers at UVa and Johns Hopkins.

Scott is a filmmaker, best-selling author and veteran of the United States Navy. He divides his time between New York City and Charlottesville, VA and is available nationally for press appearances, interviews and call-ins. He is available for television interviews via satellite uplink with seven days notice.
