Being prepared for emergencies is crucial
“Local officials and relief workers will be on the scene after a big storm or disaster, but they cannot reach everyone right away,” says Tom Sciacca, of CampingSurvival.com. Emergency Management says it may take up to 3 days before systems will be in place to help people in an emergency situation. So, the best way to make your family safer is to be prepared before disaster strikes, like stocking up on emergency food and water.”

Each case of APack™ emergency food Ready Meals contains 12 meal packs, two each of six different varieties:

  • Southwestern Style Chicken with Black Beans and Rice
  • Pasta with Garden Vegetables in Tomato Sauce
  • Homestyle Chicken Noodles with Vegetables
  • Spaghetti with Italian Style Meat Sauce
  • Creamy Chicken Tetrazzini
  • Hearty Beef Stew

Every APack™ Ready Meal includes an entrée with self-heating unit, side dishes, beverage mix (bottled water not included), condiment, utensil and towelette

APack™ Ready Meals reflect the latest in self-heating technology. The heater included with each emergency meal is a simple combination of powdered food grade iron and magnesium, salt, and water. When water is poured onto the heater pad, the heater releases enough heat to warm-up the pre-cooked meal to 100 degrees Fahrenheit in approximately 12 minutes.

“Being prepared for emergencies is crucial,” says Sciacca. “Disaster can strike quickly and without warning. It can force you to evacuate your neighborhood, workplace or school or can even confine you to your home. Being prepared with emergency food helps you and your family minimize the impact of a disaster such as a hurricane, winter storm or other emergency.”

APack™ Ready Meals have a shelf life of up to 3 years if stored in a dry environment at a temperature of 80 degrees or less.
