Care Network Australia and Bendalls Group are supporting WaterAid to deliver the most wished for Christmas present in 2008.
Sydney, Australia (PRWEB) November 18, 2008 -- Care and Bendalls are appealing to social media groups, the Australian blog community and online consumers to make WaterAid their Christmas charity in 2009.
Simply donate and download a e-Christmas Card, with a personalized message. It can be circulated to friends and family instead of buying paper Christmas cards.
Individuals and corporations can make a real difference by supplying the most basic of basic human needs, clean water at Christmas, every time they send a Christmas greeting, instead of spending lot's of money on paper cards that fill the printers coffers.
"We are asking the Australian blog community and social media communities to help us get this message out as their part of WaterAid's Christmas appeal. Simply by carrying a blog badge or writing about the issue, or getting WaterAid e-Christmas Cards, will deliver clean water to people at Christmas and will simply make their Christmas wish come true. It is just a very basic need that begins changing the cycle of the poverty trap these people have found themselves in," said Fi Bendall of Bendalls Group.
Adam Laidlaw, CEO of WaterAid Australia, added, "We are passionate about the work WaterAid is doing, providing sustainable and practical solutions to get clean, safe water and sanitation to the world's poorest people. 5,000 children a day are dying from basic illnesses, such as diarrhoea, and this means that 5,000 will die on Christmas Day. We are appealing to Australian's to make a water wish and will do everything we can to support WaterAid at Christmas to get this message."
