Analog Devices Multiplexers for Industrial Applications Feature Industry's Lowest on Resistance: ADG1406/ADG1407 iCMOS multiplexers offer improved performance in compact packages

Analog Devices, Inc., a global leader in high-performance semiconductors for signal-processing applications, today introduced two new analog multiplexers manufactured on ADI's proprietary iCMOS(TM) (industrial CMOS) process technology. Available in space saving packages, the ADG1406 and ADG1407 multiplexers operate with +/-5-V, +12-V, or +/-15-V supplies, delivering the industry's lowest on resistance. Their low on resistance and on resistance flatness make them ideal solutions for data acquisition and gain switching applications in which low distortion is critical.

NORWOOD, Mass. (Business Wire EON) April 9, 2008 -- Analog Devices, Inc., a global leader in high-performance semiconductors for signal-processing applications, today introduced two new analog multiplexers manufactured on ADIs proprietary iCMOS (industrial CMOS) process technology. Available in space saving packages, the ADG1406 and ADG1407 multiplexers operate with ±5-V, +12-V, or ±15-V supplies, delivering the industrys lowest on resistance. Their low on resistance and on resistance flatness make them ideal solutions for data acquisition and gain switching applications in which low distortion is critical.

About the ADG1406 and ADG1407 Multiplexers

News Image The new multiplexers feature 10-ohm maximum on resistance, with less than 0.9-ohm variation over a ±10-V signal range. The 16-channel ADG1406 switches one of sixteen single-ended inputs to a common output; the 8-channel ADG1407 switches one of eight differential inputs to a common differential output. Both provide 33-V supply maximum ratings, rail-to-rail operation, and break-before-make switching action. Their iCMOS manufacturing technology ensures ultra low power dissipation.

Availability and Pricing

The ADG1406 and ADG1407 are sampling now and will be available in full production quantities in July 2008. The parts are offered in a 28-lead TSSOP (thin-shrink small-outline) package as well as a 32-lead, 5-mm × 5-mm LFCSP (lead-frame chip-scale) package. Both the ADG1406 and ADG1407 are priced at $4.81 per unit in 1,000-unit quantities. For more information, visit http://www.analog.com/pr/ADG1406 or http://www.analog.com/pr/ADG1407.
